Resume

This is the same resume that is linked on the first page.  I am also putting it here so that it is accessible from both main pages.

Internal Investment Banking Case Competition

This is a copy of the presentation another MBA candidate and I prepared and presented to a board of judges that was comprised of finance professors and senior members of the Iowa investment community.  The premise behind this was to provide guidance on unlocking value in a holding company.  We won this round and joined three other Tippie MBA candidates in the regional competition.

Regional Investment Banking Case Competition

This is the presentation and pitchbook we prepared and presented in the regional round of the investment banking case competition.  This pitch was to evaluate a proposed acquisition by a private equity firm.  The judges consisted of various Managing Directors and other senior management of major investment firms in Minneapolis.  We won this round as well, taking home a prestigious award and a cash prize.

Binomial Option Pricing Model

During my free-time last summer I created the above options pricing model.  The yellow cells represent cells where you input values, and the model will do the rest.  I plan on making another, more user-friendly version some time soon.

$100,000 Mock Portfolio

Here is a mock portfolio that I created in August 2005.  This portfolio has consistently beaten all major indices, including DJIA, S&P 500, and the Wilshire 5000.  LAST TRADE: Sold portion of CL and SNE, and picked up 2900 shs of Citigroup.  Justification for this trade is on Citigroup tab in portfolio.  Feel free to contact me to agree/disagree with my decision.

Yahoo! Research Report - Henry Fund Application

This report was written for admittance into the Henry Fund, a $1.5 million endowed equity portfolio that has, on average, beaten the S&P 500 by 200 bps per year.  This report is my first attempt at modeling, and is included to show how much progress I have made since beginning my studies.

Industry Report - Food and Beverage Industry Outlook

This is my first official report written for the Henry Fund.  It gives the outlook for the Food and Beverage industry over the next couple of years.

PepsiCo Company Report

This report is an in-depth analysis of PepsiCo, Inc.  Please note that I originally had a buy recommendation on the report because I feel that, in the long run, this company will be very profitable with high free cash flow.  However, due to current commodity price increases and corresponding downward pressure on margins, I changed my recommendation to a sell.  The report does not reflect this change, and I included a link to the report solely to give the reader insight into my analytical abilities.

Safeway Company Report

This was my final report for the Spring 2008 semester.  No major changes have taken place between the writing of this report and the date this link was created (06/14/08).  However, I am required to state that the purpose of this report is to give me practice and to provide you with evidence of my work.  It is not intended to be used as a source for making outside investment decisions.
